Overview

We offer support for L’âne, an integrated, multiuser point-of-sale program for computer systems running a Unix-like OS (most commonly Linux) as well as general Linux/Unix, Perl, SQL, and business transaction support. As the author and maintainer of L’âne, Jason Burrell Consulting is uniquely qualified to support it.

Billing

Our support is billed per quarter-hour. Each incident is considered a minimum of one quarter-hour. All charges are in U.S. dollars (USD). There are no refunds for prepaid service. As we are located in Champaign, Illinois, the United States, the laws of that locality will be enforced. The standard rates provide next business day support. Please contact us if you would like to negotiate priority support.

Standard business hours* remote rate:	$20/0.25hr
After hours and priority:	$40/0.25hr
Daily Dataset Backup and Daily Emailed Financial Reports (including QuickBooks IIF Import support)	$10.00/month †
Recommended Monthly Remote New Installation Support	$80.00/month for up to 4 incidents/month †
Quantity discount (for purchases in units of 10hrs):	10%

* Standard business hours are 9am until 4:30pm Central Time (Chicago’s time zone), Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

† This rate requires a one year contract.

Licenses for Work Performed

As L’âne is licensed under the GPL, most modifications and additions to it will also be distributed under the GPL. This provision does not include items like custom artwork/logos nor report text.
